Indeed all three clubs recently came together to officially launch this year’s event, along with Main Sponsor, Declan Loy of Viking Windows. Not only was it the first time that we had played a Leinster Championship Match in Louth, but we got to play it at Cluskey Park and most important of all, it was the first time the club won a game in Leinster! It was not amongst our better performances this year, but in a very tight affair our lads showed the grit and determination to hang in and eek out the win.

Full Report On the 25th September 2016, 33 years to the day, that the Joes won their first intermediate championship, they faced into their most recent chance to repeat the feat. Once in between, the club had lifted the Seamus Flood Cup, but the current spell playing at the intermediate grade had been the longest in club history. There was an aching to get back up to Senior, particularly after four years of some heart breaking defeats at the semi-final stage of the competition up until 2016.
