Junior Hurling Championship

Our Junior Hurlers were in Championship action last Sunday evening in Kilsheelan where Newcastle were the opponents. Although we played against a strong breeze in the first half we still ended up going in level at half time, 1-7 to 0-10. We got the perfect star to the second half when Robbie Meagher scored a goal within a minute of the restart. A second goal from Robbie Meagher and another goal by Conor Duggan meant we were in complete control of the game in the second half and also limited Newcastle to just a point from a free in the entire second half. At the end of the game we ran out winners on a score line of 3-18 to 1-8. We now have 2 games left in the group against Carrick Swan and Ballingarry. The team on the night was: John Moroney, Liam Brett, Nicky Kearney, Conor Gorey, Cathal Mahony, Neil Gleeson, Paddy Moroney, Conor Barry, Brendan Gleeson, Aidan Buckley, Tony O' Brien, Conor Duggan, Shane Gorey, Robbie Meagher, Mark Mullally, Paul Horan, Brian McCormack, Ciarán Mockler, Aaron Cronin, Joey Noonan, Jamie Broderick, Mark Slattery. Keep an eye on our Facebook and twitter pages for fixtures this weekend. Our Junior Hurlers were in Championship action last Sunday evening in Kilsheelan where Newcastle were the opponents.
