Crosshaven AFC

September 12 2017

The U15's will consider the 1-1 draw with St Mary's as two points lost as they dominated the game from start to finish.

Crosshaven started without the injured duo of Rory O'Sullivan & Ethan Berkery-Kelly and to add to the problems Patrick Cotter limped off after ten minutes. The first half saw Crosser go close on numerous occasions & they deservedly took the lead when

Diego Campos volleyed Crosshaven ahead after good work from Lee Davies & Peter Lehane.

The second half was more of the same as Crosshaven piled on the pressure with Diego & Zach going close before Marys hit back with a stunning free kick ten minutes from time. Owen Merchant twice went close from frees while Adam Maye, Cillian Deane & Ronan O'Donoughue also came agonisingly close to restoring Crosshaven's lead. With two minutes to go Adam Maye had a goal disallowed as the referee had blown for an earlier foul. Merchant again grazed the crossbar but time ran out & points shared.
