Killala made it 3 from 3 by beating Charlestown 3-2 in Courthouse St. Rory Gallagher made it 4 goals in 3 games within 10 mins. Charlestown upped the pressure for the remainder of the half and grabbed an equaliser. Richie Lynn came on half way through the second half and made it 2-1 with a close range finish. DC missed from the spot but followed up with the rebound. Charlestown scored in injury time but the lads did enough early on in the 2nd half to secure the points.

Final score in the Premier League at Courthouse St. Killala 6-3 Partry Athletic. It's 2 wins from 2 for the men's team. Great first half performance as the lads scored 6 in 30 mins. Lee Cummins netted a hatrick, Rory Gallagher continued his scoring form with a brace and David Cadden finished the scoring as he slotted home from the spot just before half time.

Great result in Achill for the men's team this afternoon, first half goals from Rory Gallagher and Marc McDonnell gave our lads an impressive 3 points away to the fancied Rovers side . Final score Achill Rvs 0 Killala fc 2

Last weekend of the preseason for the men's team saw them beating Crossmolina 2-0 this morning at Courthouse St. Second half goals from Kyle Mc Loughlin and Richie Lynn was enough to see off the Division 1 outfit. The lads kick off their season in the Premier League next week at home to Bangor Hibs.

The men's team and the new u19 team took a break from pre season training this morning and took advantage of the sunny day to play a match and dust off some of the close season cobwebs. In a closely fought first half a Rory Gallagher goal was all that seperated them at the break . Both teams chAnged it around for the second half and further goals by Rory , Ritchie Lynn (2) Lee Cummins and Kevin Whyte saw out an entertains second half , Aaron OBoyle got one for a excellent looking u19 side

u16 girls qualified for the Mayo Cup Final when they defeated Swinford after a penalty shootout at Courthouse st today . Despite going 2-0 down early on the girls fought back with a hat trick from Colette Collins and a goal from Ashling Bilbow to tie up the match 4-4 after extra time in a thrilling game . The dreaded penalty shootout was then needed and Alva Munnelly , Ashling Bilbow , Aisling ODonnell and Niamh Maughan were all successful from the spot and Regan O Boyle

The AGM of Killala FC will take place on Friday 22nd January at 8pm in the clubhouse. 2015 season will be reviewed and the planning will start for 2016.All members and parents are invitied to attend and voice their opinions and ideas. It is hoped to enter extra teams this season so we need lots of help, so if you can assist us in any way IE coaching , managing kids , planning , supervising or just picking up jersies or giving out water , come along or drop us your name .

Even tho we are in a quiet time of the year for football , our coach education programm is still going strong. This weekend Emma Munnelly furthered her skills when she did the FAI Fundemantals of Goalkeeping course. Well done Emma the young girls of Killala FC will be in safe hands for the future.
