U12 boys on long journey home from Athlone but Sean Walsh's lads will be happy with their 4-2 win over St . Joseph's . Goals from Sean Walsh , James McLoughln (2) and Shane Timmons secured their passage in the Connaught shield. In the U18 Connaught cup in Swinford the lads went down 6-3 after a thrilling battle , goals from Dom Sweeney , Aaron O Boyle and Michael Tighe .

The men's team bowed out of the FAI cup yesterday losing 4-2 to Super League side Claremorris. A goal after 30 seconds from Brendan Ryan was just the start the lads needed as they reshuffled their line up from the semi final victory last week. As the game went on Claremorris clawed their way back to lead 2-1 early in the 2nd half. When Rory Gallagher levelled it up at 2-2 it looked like the lads were heading for another extra time but Claremorris struck 2 late goals and the game finished 4-2.

he men's team travelled to Partry Athletic today in R2 of the FAI junior cup and came away with a 2-0 win with goals from Kyle McLoughlin and Giggys , well done lads

The lads gave it everything today but it was one of those games where they threw to much caution going forward and were punished by a ruthless Swinford team. Killala scored 4 in an enthralling encounter they but should have converted even more of their chances as the visitors struck 5 in an end to end battle. Rory scored his 19th of the season in all comps as Kyle (2) and Lee also added to their tally for the year. Congrats to S&F Utd on winning the league today.

Men's team are right back in the promotion race with a fine 3-2 win away to Kiltimagh/Knock tonight . Goals from giggs(2) and Lee keep us right in the mix with only 3 games to play , all against teams in the top 4 . It's going to be exciting lads .

Men's team moved into the semi finals of the Connaught Gold cup today in Ballyglass , scraping past the B team after a penalty shoot out . The score was 2-2 after extra time with goals from Kyle McLaughlin and Aaron OBoyle. Up stepped Rory, Mark, Alex, and Aaron to win the Peno shootout 4-3. The lads have drawn Ballyhaunis Town in the semi final of the cup to be played 24th/25th of Sep.

Final score from Courthouse St was Killala 1-2 Fahy Rovers. Disappointing result as the lads are trying to put a stop to the loosing streak at the moment. Thanks to everyone for tuning in today on FB and interacting during the match. Was good fun. Hopefully we can do some more this season. If anyone can do this for more of our youth/men's games we would be delighted to get your help.
