Ladies Football news

St.Patrick's Girls under 10 team who took part in a blitz held in Mullinahone recently.

Junior Team

Our first match in the Junior C championship took place in Cloneen last Monday evening the 12th of July. This was a tough encounter, which ended all square after 60 minutes, after a well worked passage of play in the final minute of the game ended with Rachel O'Brien scoring a goal. Well done also to Sharon who made her championship debut last night in goal. The next round match is away against Aherlow. Best of luck to Thomas, Helen and all the junior ladies.

Under 8's

Congratulations to Catriona Boland and Sheila Butler coaches of the under 8 girls who took part in a blitz in Clerihan recently. Well done to all on a great evening of some fine displays of football. Keep it up girls.

There was a great display of football skills and team work by the girls who played agsinst Mullinahone and Slievenamon respectively. Keep up the good work.

Under 12s

Our under 12 team took part in the u12 Munster blitz in Moyle Rovers on Saturday past. We had 12 girls take part: Jessica Strappe, Robyn Horan, Sarah Crannitch, Erin O'Brien, Eabha Hogan, Rachel Butler, Heather Gahan, Kelly Burgress, Isabelle Hayden, Ava Heffernan, Eimear Boland and Eabha Fitzgerald. We played Holycross in our first game & Gaultier (Dunmore East, Waterford) in the second game. Unfortunately we didn't get to play Moycarkey in the third game, as the blitz had to be suspended due to torrential rain. Well done to all the girls that took part. The first round u12 league game is an away game against Templemore at 7.30pm next Friday evening. The other two teams in our group are Cahir and Moyne, with those games to be played in the coming weeks
