The girls and boys in Sixth Class took part in the county blitzes organised by the FAI. These days were most enjoyable, and were particularly successful for the boys’ team who made it back to compete in the finals. Many thanks to Declan Hogan who helped out with coaching, and with the organisation of the games during the three days.
The school was recently visited by Emmet Thornton from the Cashel ‘Aimsir Bia’ group who spoke to each class about the importance of bio-diversity and helped the children plant native fruit trees. Pupils and staff were delighted to be included in this worthwhile venture. We hope that our visiting rabbits will not eat our young trees!
We had a very successful school tour last month when we visited Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. The group leaders worked very diligently during the day and have set a very high standard for future tours!
Our School Sports Day was held on the first real day of summer. The warm sunshine was most welcome. Everyone - pupils and staff -had a great day.
Again, the team leaders worked very hard and helped greatly in making the day so enjoyable.
