Senior Championship The Downs 0:10 Bunbrosna 0:10
On Saturday evening we  played our second last group game in the championship. The Downs  played with the wind in the first half  but had difficulty in using it to our advantage and went in at half time level 0:5. On the resumption The Downs playing against the wind went into a three point lead 0:8 to 0:5, Bunbrosna responded with four unanswered points to go into a point lead. With minutes remaining The Downs pressing for the equalising score earned a free with time almost up and converted one of the most pressure kicks of the year to get a share of the points.. The Downs showed great resilience in battling to the final whistle to get a result and keep our interest in the  championship. Team: Ciaran McCormack, Ben Hogan, Mark Dalton, Trevor McCormack, Stephen Devine, Jack Hogan, Declan Lynam, Brendan Murtagh, Dean Clarke, Luke Loughlin, Shane Power, Luke Folan. Greg Crowley, John Smyth, Kevin Smullen. Subs Used: PJ Maguire, Brendan Cleary, Dean Egerton, Barry Conroy

Boys U14's
Well done to the division 1 side who defeated St. Loman's on Thursday night last in the final round of the championship group stage played in Lakepoint Park final score 5-9, 3-2. This win puts the lads into the semi-finals which will probably take place on Thursday week 29th and we must wait for some back fixtures to be played before opposition is confirmed. The div 4 side have also qualified for their semi-finals - details tbc.
