On the Field
Adult Football
Well done to the U20 footballers who defeated St. Michaels in the U20 Championship in difficult conditions on Saturday in Westside. The team have now qualified for the West Board Final and will await the winners of Moycullen and Oughterard who play this weekend. It was great team performance with Evan Murphy and minors Robert Waltzer and John Quinn standing out for skgaa on the day. Final score was 3-13 to 1-05.
Well done to Sean Armstrong and Evan Wynne who were involved with the Galway team in their feisty draw with Dublin in the Stadium last Sunday. Next up is Kildare this weekend with the league final on Easter Sunday vs Dublin in Croke Park.
The seniors will step up their preparation for the coming season with a challenge vs Caherlistrane this weekend.
The minor footballers had a good win over Oughterard in the Prairie on Monday. Despite missing 17 players the team delivered an impressive performance winning 3-10 to 0-11. Adult Hurling
SK Junior Hurlers were narrowly defeated in their first outing of the Junior 1 Championship away to Bearna/Furbo on Bank Holiday Monday. The Final Score was 0-12 to 0-11. SK led 10 points to 6 at h/t having had a strong wind on their backs but a last gasp point from Bearna gave them the win. Disappointing in the end but all battled well throughout against a strong side in tough conditions.
The Junior's 2nd outing in this competition takes place in the Prairie this Sunday vs Menlo Emmets. Throw in 4.30pm. Please Support!

Div 4 team lost to a stronger St. Gabriel's team in the Prairie on a bitterly cold Sunday morning and the Div 1 team were beaten by an impressive Claregalway team away on Monday evening.
