It was a sad week in the history of the club with passing of Pat O'Grady, long time member and supporter of the club. Pat was laid to rest in Rahoon cemetery yesterday. Pat had been a huge supporter of the club for over 40 years. He was instrumental in the development of both the Árus and the Prairie, even providing the blocks for the building of the Árus. He even provided a house to be used in the major draw during the 1980's to raise money for the Árus. His generosity towards the club has come to light over the last number of days with people telling many great stories. He bought the dinner for the whole Salthill team after they reached the All Ireland Club Final in 1990 and has supported the golf am-am every year since 1990. Those that knew him said he was a wonderful character and a loyal and generous friend and he will be missed by many. The club certainly wouldn't be where it is today without the huge contribution he made over the years.

On the field there were a few disappointing results for the minor camogie team and the U12 and U13 footballers but the U21 footballers kicked off their campaign with a good win.
