Ballina GAA and Parish Lotto Build Up:   As you know, our Jackpot figure now stands at €13,400.   A  Build Up Jackpot is now underway and presently stands at €5,400.  As long as the main Jackpot is not won, each Jackpot figure will receive the €200 bonus every second week.

Recently Baptised:  We welcome into God’s family: William Patrick Goode, son of David and Joanne, Ryninch and Gearoid Liam Morgan, son of Ramona and Declan, Inchadrinagh, who were baptized recently.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes:  This pilgrimage takes place from June 16th to  the 21st.  Price €680.  Further details are on the Church Notice Boards.

Ar Shli na Firinne:  Remember in your prayers the souls of: John Lyons, Portroe, brother of Michael, Scragg and Paul Ryan, brother of Ena Slevin, Boher who died in the last week.  May they rest in peace.

Clarecare Thrift Shop:  The Clarecare Thrift Shop located in the Molua Centre in Killaloe is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4.15pm.  New and nearly new clothes are available. Donations are welcome and all proceeds go directly to Clarecare.

Watermans Lodge Day Care and Respite Centre:   The Alzheimers Society of Ireland are pleased to announce the opening of the new centre on Monday, March 14th.  If you are caring for or know of any person with dementia specific illness that would like to avail of the services, please contact Catriona on 086 0477892 for information

Training for use of the Automated External Defibrillator Device:  Training for the use of the AED device will take place on Saturday, April 2nd in the GAA Hall.  Please contact a member of the committee if you are interested.  To date, over 200 phones have been provided.  Please help this effort as we need 500 phones for the defibrillator.  The boxes are quiet visible in various outlets throughout Ballina.

Intermediate Hurling:  Congratulations to our Intermediate Hurlers, who despite struggling for much of the game, managed to stage a major comeback in the second half, proceeded to win the North League Final for the 2nd year in a row.

Membership: All membership subscriptions are due by March 31st.  Please note that if you have made your 2011 contribution to the Friends of Ballina initiative, you may be eligible to apply for free membership. All members are encouraged to support this essential project that will provide the club with a much-needed additional playing field.

The Big Spring Clean:  Do you have unwanted scrap metal items lying around your back yard or farm? Ballina GAA Club in association with Hegarty Metals is organising a spring clean of the Ballina & Boher communites -- and it's FREE. It starts on March 19th and runs for a limited time only. Support your club and clean up the community!
