Barna GAA would like to congratulate local teenagers Ian Kent, Ernán McDonagh and James Grealis, as well as the entire extended Galway minor football panel and management who recorded a win over Mayo in the Connacht semi-final at Castlebar on Saturday evening.
Ian Kent started at corner-back for the Tribesmen and had a very solid performance until he was replaced by Barna club mate Ernán McDonagh latew in the second half.
Another clubman, James Grealis, is on the extended Galway panel.
The final score in McHale Park was 3-14 to 1-3, and Galway now face Sligo in the provincial decider.
Well done also to the seven Barna GAA players involved with Galway in Pearse Stadium last week against a team from London. Fair play to Sean Fitzgerald, Mark Boyle, Liam Divilly, Liam Rooney, Jack Keady, Dara Golden and Rhys Butler.
