Club Meeting:

 

A club meeting will take place on Wednesday December 2nd in St. Nathy’s Hall at 9pm sharp. All club members are encouraged to attend.

Best wishes from the club to Jonathan Hill of shootingstars.ie photography company who is to ­­­­­open a new shop and gallery in Sligo shortly. This company profiles photographs form across the wide range of underage sporting events in Sligo. Jonathan was present at our club’s victories in the U-16 A2 and the Minor B finals this year. A superb array of shots is currently available to view on his website. Also from the website you can click on a youtube link on which you can view a very impressive slide show of photos from our U-16 victory against Coolera/Strandhill.

 

Scór Competition:

 

The following are details of the Sligo Scor Na Nog Competitions for 2009/2010:
Semi-Final (1) South & West takes place in Easkey Community Centre on Saturday
December 12th at 7pm. The County Final will be held in Banada Hall on January 10th 2010. The Connacht Final takes place in Banada Hall on January 23rd, 2010.

Competitors may take part in any number of the eight different Scór disciplines namely, Figure Dancing, Set Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation, Ballad Group, Quiz and Novelty Act. Competitors must be under seventeen years of age on Jan. 1st, 2010. For more information, contact club cultural officer Hillary Brennan on 087 9499627.

 

 

Nace O’Dowd Park:

 

All users of Nace O’Dowd Park are notified that the park is completely closed due to extensive surface repair and maintenance works carried out recently. A lengthy break of several months is now required for both playing fields and the co-operation of all users is appreciated.

 

Dublin Allstars:

 

Well done to former club player Daniel Davey on his nomination for the Dublin club all stars team for 2009. Daniel’s club Ballyboden/St. Endas were defeated by Westmeath’s Garrycastle in the Leinster semi final last week.
