Hard luck to St Mary’s Secondary School who lost their All-Ireland semi-final against Loreto, Kilkenny last  Saturday in Dolla. All present witnessed a brilliant game and everyone who took part should be proud of their efforts. Our girls have played a huge part in the Schools great run. Ciara McGrath scored the winning goal in the Munster Final. Aileen Duggan got player of the week for her hat-trick in the Quarter Final and Alana Morris has been a model of consistency with her powerful displays even though she was the youngest of the starting 15. Rachel Maher, Caitriona O’Connor, Judy Ryan-Mulqueen and Holly O’Brien, who is working her way back from injury, are also on the panel.
Sinead Long in the recitation represented our Club in the Scor County Final in Cashel last weekend. Despite not winning Sinead gave an excellent performance.
