Lorrha GAA News for 26 November

Sean Ghael Awards: Congratulations to Paddy O’Meara (Lorrha) who received a Laochra Sean Ghael Award at this years annual awards in Thurles on Sunday afternoon. It is a well-deserved honour for over half a century of service to the GAA for both Lorrha and Tipperary.

Lotto: The numbers drawn last week were: 6 – 8 – 17 - 25. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Noreen Lewis, Madeleine Maher, Bridget Deane, G&B Fitzpatrick and Sarah Nevin. The Promoters were: Margaret Gleeson, Donie O'Meara and Shane Brophy.
Our jackpot now stands at €13,300. Thank you for your continued support.

Auction: Our annual auction will take place at the GAA Clubhouse on Sunday, 11 December @ 2.30pm. Timber cutting is well underway so there should be plentyful supply of fuel, farm stuffs etc in the next month. Anyone that has a tree to donate or any items to the auction can contact Noel Hogan (0876176472) or Graham Houlihan (087-9610002).

Gym Opening Hours: Our gym is now open to the public; initially on Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7.00 to 9.30pm. For further information including membership rates for club members and non club members, contact Graham (087-9610002), Tadhg (087-4125642) or Sean (087-3643031).

Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw: So far this year, four prizes have come back to the club. With the AGM approaching we ask all promoters to bring their accounts up to date and contact co-ordinator Margaret Gleeson.

AGM: The AGM of Lorrha GAA Club will take place on Saturday, 17 December in the Clubhouse at 8.15pm. With the AGM approaching, final accounts will be prepared in the coming weeks, anyone with outstanding issues is to contact Treasurer, William Harding.

Juvenile AGM: is on Tuesday, 20 December at 8.30pm in the Clubhouse. Anyone interested in coaching or mentoring any of the juvenile teams need to attend as they will be elected on the night.

Best of Luck: to Ken Hogan and Coolderry in the Leinster Club Senior Hurling Final against Oulart de Ballagh on Sunday.

Scrap Metal: Thanks to all who donated items so far to our Scrap Metal collection.
If anyone still has anything of any kind they want to get rid of, please contact any committee member.
We will gratefully accept donations of a wide range of metal, iron or steel items no longer in use such as old equipment, machinery or cars, containers, utensils, pots, pans, sink tops, radiators, pipes, barrels, garden furniture, garden toys, bicycles, gates, fencing wire, etc.

Sports Hall or Function Room booking: Anyone interested in using the Function Room, Sports Hall, Gym or the Clubhouse for any event can contact Sean Mannion on 087-3643031.

Old Time Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Teddy & Cathal Barry. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
