Lorrha GAA New for 27 August

All Ireland Final Preview Night: Lorrha GAA are hosting an All Ireland Hurling Final Preview Night in the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh on Thursday, 1 September at 8.30pm. Guests including Ken Hogan, Kilkenny duo, Denis Byrne, James Ryall as well as Daithí Regan and Tony Considine will be present to look ahead to the big game between Tipperary and Kilkenny.
Tickets cost €20 and can be bought from the Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh Guardian offices, or you can book your tickets by contacting secretary Kevin Hough on 086-0515324 or also on the night.
All those that attend will also be entered into a draw for a pair of stand tickets to the All Ireland Final and various other prizes.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 7 – 10 – 15 - 29. No Winner.

Senior: The seniors will be out in the Senior League Division 2 Final against Boherlahan/Dualla on this Friday, 26 August in Templederry @ 6.30pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors

Minor Hurling: The minors meet Nenagh Éire Óg in the ‘A semi-final this Wednesday (this evening) in Cloughjordan @ 6.30pm. Best of Luck to the players and mentors.

Minor Football: The minor ‘A’ football final against Ballina will be played in the coming weeks. Keep and eye on the notes for details.

U16: The U16’s competed their championship with a defeat to Borrisokane in Moatfield last week. Despite suffering a number of defeats, the team scored heavily in all their games and played to their best. Thanks also to their mentors of their efforts.

U13: Lorrha began U13 Plate Hurling competition with a defeat to Shannon Rovers in Moatfield last week. This Wednesday (this evening) they travel to Dolla to take on Silvermines @ 7.00pm.

Tipperary: Well to the Tipperary minor footballers in the All Ireland semi-final against Roscommon at Croke Park on Sunday.

All Ireland Final Tickets: All Ireland Final tickets will be drawn for at the Clubhouse on Wednesday, 31 August @ 9.00pm. Tickets will be drawn for among fully paid up club members only. Stand - €80; Terrace - €40.

Tipperary Training Fund Draw: Tickets are available for the Tipperary hurlers and footballers Training Fund Draw. Tickets are €10 and top prize is a Trip for 2 to the International Rules Series in Australia this October. Contact any committee member.

Best of Luck: to Under 21 player Sean Cleary who has left for the United States to take up a golf scholarship. In a few short years we could have the next Rory McIlroy!!

Exams: Well done to all on receipt of their Leaving Cert results last week.

Parish Golf Outing: The Lorrha Parish Golf Outing takes place in Birr Golf Club on this Saturday, 27 August. Tee Times available from 9.00am. Timesheet with Tony Coen on 087-6219639.

Old Time Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Dermot Lyons. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympthise with the Slevin Family, Kilregane on the death of William Slevin who died last week. May he rest in peace.
