Lorrha GAA News for 28 November

AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club will take place in the Clubhouse on Sunday week, 6 December @ 2.30pm. Nomination and motion papers will be forwarded to members this week. Deadline for return of nominations is Wednesday, 2 December.

1984 Reunion: The club will host a 25-year reunion for the 1984 senior team which won the North Tipp title and reached the county final. It will take place over Christmas week on Monday, 28 December in the GAA Clubhouse. Further details in the coming weeks but please pencil it in your diary as it will be a great parish evening also.

Race-Night: A race-night fundraiser will be held in the Friars Tavern on Sunday, 27 December. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Dinner Dance: Lorrha GAA and Camogie club will host a joint-dinner dance in the Co. Arms Hotel, Birr on Saturday, 30 January 2010. Medals will be presented on the night to the Junior Camogie team and the senior man on their league victory.

Coaching: Anyone interested in undertaking a Foundation Coaching course over the winter months is to contact Shane Brophy (086-0515324) this week.

Lotto: The numbers drawn this week were: 5 – 10 – 20 - 28. No Winner.
The Lucky Dips were: Purple, Green & Blue, Bridget Madden, Madeleine Maher, Mick Reddan and John Reddan. The Winning Promoters were: Tony Coen, Liam Reddish and Mulrooney’s Gala.
All lotto draws take place in the GAA Clubhouse on Monday night. The draw takes place at 10pm and all are welcome to attend. Thank you for your continued support.

Old Time Dancing: Old Time Dancing resumes on Friday night to the music of Mando & Shandy. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.

Sympathy: Lorrha GAA Club would like to sympathise with the O’Meara family on the death of Jamsie O’Meara, Lisballyard who died over the weekend. May he rest in peace.
