Lorrha GAA News for 30 April

Senior: The senior hurlers gave up a winning position in the first half to lose in the second round of the County Championship against Clonoulty/Rossmore, 0-19 to 1-13 in Dolla on Sunday. Lorrha's final group game is against Kilruane MacDonaghs on weekend 7-8 May where a win could still see us to the knockout stages and avoid falling into Roinn 2 for 2017.



Junior: The junior hurlers received a walkover from Toomevara in the Junior 'B' Hurling League on Saturday evening. Their next game is away to Ballina next Saturday, 30th April at 7pm.



Under 16: Lorrha Rovers Gaels completed their group phase of the 'A' football championship with a 4-5 to 1-5 win over Inane Rovers last Monday week. Last Monday evening they played Nenagh Eire Og in the North semi-final and won 1-12 to 0-10.



Under 14: Lorrha Rovers Gaels easily Portroe in Moatfield last Wednesday in their final group game to finish top of their group and are through to a North 'B' semi-final.



Feile: Lorrha will be hosting a team from Antrim as part of Feile na nGael which is being held in Tipperary & Waterford this year from June 17th-19th.

Tipperary Clubs Draw: for 2015-2016 has now concluded. All promoters and subscribers are asked to bring your accounts up to date and contact Margaret Gleeson. The 2016-2017 draw will get underway in late May and if you want to join, contact any club officer.



Lorrha CountryFest 2016: Tickets are on sale for Lorrha CountryFest at Moatfield which takes place on Sunday, 17th July from 12 noon to 7pm. Line-up includes Mike Denver, Robert Mizzell, Louise Morrissey, The Conquerors, Johnny Brady, Pete Kennedy, Sean Slattery & The Connections as well as local band Tradstone. A day not to be missed! Social Dancing: on Friday night to the music of Pat Daly. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am.
