Lorrha GAA News for 6 February

Auction: Thank you to everyone who supported our Auction last Sunday, from those who gave up their time to cut, split and load timber in difficult conditions in recent weeks, to those who donated items and to those who parted with their money for the goods. Your support is greatly appreciated. The Juvenile Club had a raffle and the winners were: Trailer of Timber (donated by Eamonn Mannion) – Colette Bouchier, Dove Gift set – John Bergin; Box of Chocolates – Nonnie Cronin.

Fun Wall competition: There was a great turnout of players, young and old, for our Wall Ball tournament last Sunday as part of the Auction and well done to Jake Houlihan who was the overall winner.

Coaching Course: Eleven people are currently taking part in a Foundation Course which will be completed this week. Many of them, including members from Shannon Rovers Gaels also participated in a Child Welfare Course last week also.

Juvenile Presentation: There was a night of great excitement in Moatfield last Saturday night as the Lorrha U12 'C' Footballers, U13 Hurlers and the Lorrha Rovers U16 hurlers were presented with their North Championship medals for 2015 by our own Patrick Maher and Tipperary captain Brendan Maher. Thanks to both men for attending and to parents and supporters for making it a special night for our young players.

Our jackpot is now €5,400 with a Match 3 pot of €100. Thank you for your continued support. You can play our lotto online at www.locallotto.ie where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.
