Lorrha GAA News for 21 March

Lotto: There numbers drawn this week were: 4 – 8 – 12 - 27. No Winner.

Senior: A very young Lorrha team defeated Moyne-Templetuohy, 1-17 to 1-13 in the County Challenge Cup in Moatfield on Sunday morning. Lorrha now progress to play Cappawhite in the quarter final of the Dr Fogarty in Moatfield this Sunday, check fixtures for time.



Junior Hurling: The much delayed 2014 Junior 'B' League final against Kildangan looks set to take place on Saturday, 21st March in Ballingarry at 4pm. Best of luck to the players and mentors.



Under 6 & 8: Training continues in the Sports Hall this Friday night from 7 to 8pm.



Under 10: Training continues on Friday night from 8-9pm in the Sports Hall.



Under 12: The U12's begin their football campaign on Saturday when they host Ballina in Moatfield, no start time known at the time of going to press.



Under 14: Training in Moatfield this Thursday at 7.30pm.



Under 16: The Lorrha/Shannon Rovers U16 footballers begin their championship campaign on Friday night when they play Moneygall in Ballingarry at 7pm.



Membership: for 2015 is now due. Rates were also confirmed with all inclusive of Gym membership: €90 – Adult player; €50 – Minor/College student; €30 – Non-playing Adult (+€70 extra for gym membership for 12 months); €20 – Juvenile (16 and under); €90 – Family (2 adults and 2 children, capped at €100 for three or more children).



It is vital that all players, coaches and supporters pay their membership ahead of the closing date which is fast approaching on 31st March. Membership is payable to Louise Mannion or can be done online at www.myclubfinances.com and go to the Lorrha page.



Child Welfare Course: The club has organised a Child Welfare Courses which all those involved with juvenile players must take part in on Thursday 19th March in the Clubhouse from 7-10pm. Contact Louise Mannion 0876598387.



Senior Scor: The Lorrha team of Aidan & Pauline McIntyre and Maria & Michael Brophy finished third in the County Final of the Senior Scor table quiz in Littleton on Saturday night.



Social Dancing: continues on Friday night to the music of Jason Travers. Dancing 9.30pm to 12.30am. Social Dancing classes in the clubhouse every Monday night at 8pm.



Sympathy: Lorrha GAA club would like to sympathise with the Spain family on the death of Gertie White. May she rest in peace.
