Senior: Lorrha face Toomevara in a North Senior Hurling Championship quarter final playoff this Sunday in Nenagh at 6pm. We ask all Lorrha supporters to make a special effort to attend the game and support the team.
Junior Hurling: Lorrha lost 3-9 to 1-9 to Burgess in round 3 of the Junior ‘A’ Hurling League in Moatfield on Saturday evening. Trailing by a point at half time, Lorrha struggled in the second half. Lorrha’s final game is against Kilruane MacDonaghs where we need a win to have any chance of making the semi-finals.
Minor Football: The Minor Footballers lost out 2-12 to 0-10 to Kildangan in the North ‘B’ semi-final in Borrisokane last Wednesday. Lorrha played well in the first half and led by one point but a second Kildangan goal midway through the second game proved to be the crucial score. Hard luck to the players and mentors whose attention now turns to the hurling championship which begins after the exams.
Under 12: Pride of place in the club this week goes to our U12 Footballers on their North Final triumph. Following a 5-6 to 2-5 win over Silvermines in the semi-final last Tuesday week, Lorrha defeated Ballina 4-5 to 1-4 in the final in Toomevara last Saturday. Congrats to the players and mentors James Dunne, Dessie Clancy, Derek Mannion and Louise Mannion for their great work so far and wish them the best of luck in County End Games this weekend.
Panel: Jack Ryan, Jack Moran, Stephen Sullivan, Dylan Mannion, Cian Mannion, Colm Fogarty, Michael Houlihan, Adam Clancy, James Guinan, Tom Duggan, Daniel Madden, Ronan O'Meara, Ruain O'Meara, Oisin Guinan, Kevin Cahalan, Ronan Shewbridge, Dan Needham.
