Lorrha GAA News for 15 December

Lotto: Our jackpot now stands at €4,650 and next Monday’s draw will be our annual Christmas Draw for extra prizes. Thank you for your continued support.
You can also play our lotto online at www.myclubfinances.com where it is easy to play every week. Tickets are €2 each or three for €5.
Auction: The annual Auction will take place on next Sunday, 16th December at 2.00pm. Our hard working team have put in a massive effort over the past number of weeks and there will be a plentiful supply of timber and other fuels for auction.
Any other pledges of fodder and farm produce can be done so by contacting Shane Brophy (0876989612). We will still be grateful for any items that can be lawfully turned into euros, so we are hoping that all club members and supporters will make some donation to Auction.
We will also have having indoor stalls and anyone who would like to book a stall can contact Sean Mannion (087-3643031). There will also be face-painting for children, refreshments will be available also for what is always an enjoyable club event and we would ask all members to support this important annual fundraiser.
AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Lorrha GAA Club takes place on next Tuesday, 18th December at 8.00pm. We would ask all members to make a special effort to attend. Mass for deceased members will be celebrated in Redwood Church, this Saturday evening at 7.30pm.
Tony Hogan Fund: A Benefit Night for Tony Hogan will take place in the Clubhouse on St Stephen’s Night, beginning at 9.30pm with music til late. It will end a day of events, which will include a 12-team 7’s hurling tournament earlier in the day.
Tony returned home to Ballymacegan last week to continue his recovery after making great strides over the past month, which saw him leave hospital earlier than anticipated. However, a period of rehab remains with funds raised from this event going towards this.
Envelopes have been delivered to each house in the parish whereby people can donate any amount they wish to the fund and deliver the envelopes to collection points throughout the parish (including Louis McCormack’s). Tickets are also available, priced at €10 and are available throughout the parish. Anyone who donates to the fund in any way is invited to the Benefit Night on St Stephen’s Night.
Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Tipperary Clubs Draw: With the 2012-2013 draw half way through, we are asking all promoters to bring their monies up to date and forward to draw coordinator Margaret Gleeson.
The Gathering 2013: Following a meeting last week, the Lorrha & Dorrha Heritage Week will take place in the parish between Wednesday, 19th and Monday, 24th June 2013, as the Lorrha communities effort for The Gathering 2013. Lorrha GAA will be planning an event to coincide with that week, more details to follow.
First Aid and Defibrillator Training: The club are organizing a second date with bookings to be made with Shane Brophy (0876989612).
