SFL Div 2: Clonmore 1-13 Grange 1-5
SFL Div 2: Clonmore 1-13 Grange 1-5
Following their narrow victory against Leighlinbridge in the First Round of the League last week, Clonmore made it two out of two for new Trainer, Paddy Molloy, with a good win over neighbours Grange at Killerig on Sunday. Clonmore dominated the first half but kicked nine wides which left them leading by just 0-4 to 0-2 at half time, the highlight of the half being two fine points from the left boot of Mike Murray. A Grange a goal put the home team 1-3 to 0-5 ahead early in the second half, but a Niall Humphries goal settled the young Clonmore team again and they pulled away for a solid victory.
Next match is at home to Eire Og on Sunday next, 3 April, at 5.30pm.
Team:
Collie McGrath, Paul Byrne, Wesley Byrne, John Kelly, Shane Murphy (0-2), Ronan Doyle, Pauric Lawlor (0-1), Willie Rooney, Gavin Byrne (0-5), Michael Murray (0-2), Con Murphy (0-1), Willie Byrne, PJ Byrne, David Mulvaney (0-1), Niall Humphries (1-1).
