SFL Div 4: Clonmore 2-10 Grange 1-4

The ever green Jamie Doyle who scored 1-2 for the Juniors against Grange.
The Junior team started their league campaign in Grange on Wednesday last on what was a cold and blustery evening.  In what was pretty much one-way traffic in the first half with a strong breeze, Clonmore took the game to Grange and led at half time on a score line of 1-7 to no score. Three converted frees from Owen Coleman at midfield, two points from Clive Lambe, a point each from Ivan Byrne and Norman Mulvaney and a goal after 8 mins by Colin McGrath made up the scores of the first half.

A point straight after the break by Lambe was then followed by a fight back by the Grange men. They went on to score 1-04 before the Clonmore lads could reply. A goal and two point’s from wing forward Jamie Doyle were the only remaining scores of the game. Clonmore was well represented in defence with the experience of Colin Doyle and John Connolly with Willie Rooney and Mick Murray. Ivan Byrne worked very hard in the midfield with Jamie Doyle and Colin McGrath working hard up front.
