Bride Rovers G.A.A. Club notes and news for the week ahead.

Minors Start

Despite the washout weather which saw the Car Boot Sale being cancelled, our minor hurlers got the show on the road for 2011. Their first training session of the year was in Pyne's Field with a good turnout of players.

The Cork Vocational Schools Hurling team with which Jason Pratt and Ryan O'Connor were involved, were defeated by Kilkenny in the All Ireland semi final at the weekend.

Scór

The County semi final of Scór Sinnsear was held in Lisgoold on last Sunday night. We took part in the Novelty Act and the Question Time but with no success. Our Novelty Act of "Spreading the News" which was runner-up in Imokilly the previous Sunday, featured Betty Cahill, John Arnold, Trish Meade, Anna Lane, Orla Arnold, Daniel Lane and Jonathan Brackett. Our Quiz team was Daniel Lane, Tom Mulcahy and James Bermingham.

Scór na bPáistí

This weekend the two semi finals of the Scór na bPáistí will be held on Saturday and Sunday in Watergrasshill. We will be very well represented with 3 Novelty Acts, 2 Singers, 2 Recitations and a Figure Dancing group. Go n-éirí an t-adh le gach éinne atá páirteach sa comórtas.
