The Kilmainhamwood Over-40's travelled to Dunboyne on Saturday 2nd September 2017 to take (over) part in the 7-a-side tournament to help raise funds for Dunboyne ASD (autism) class in the local national school ... see https://www.gofundme.com/asdclassdunboyne . Even though there is many miles on the clock and the hair is greying, the technical know-how and natural ability is still there resulting in our heroes from the 'Wood collecting some silverware after a well contested final. Meath manager Andy McEntee was present and was inquiring about the availability of a few of the boys ... I'm just saying! It was a super day for Meath football fans as some of the greats from the 80's & 90's lined out to represent their clubs. Afterwards in the clubhouse, Rory Stories was there and was familiar with all the great players from the ‘Wood 10-man squad that represented Meath with distinction. He invited Smoothie on stage and the crowd cheered for the great man … funny there was no mention of Frank … shame! Read the full report at http://www.kilmainhamwoodgfc.com/

Finally, we are looking for a new first-team coach for 2018. Please let us know if you are interested. Michael Clarke in stepping down after a number of years at the helm and we would like to thank him for all his hard work and dedication and wish him the best in future coaching roles.

Regards,
Shane Russell & the lotto committee
