Ballintubber GAA Club
Ballintubber G.A.A. Club is situated in West Mayo just 7 miles South of Castlebar and on the way to Ballinrobe . The club covers the villages of Killawalla, Ballintubber, Clogher, Carnacon and Ballyglass . The club plays its Senior, Junior, Under 21, Minor and Under 16 games in the Ray Prendergast Memorial park, Clogher while all underage games and training from Under 8's to Under 14's takes place in Ballintubber Community pitch . The amount of players within the club easily exceeds 200 and there are currently huge development plans to upgrade current facilities for the stars of today and tomorrow !
Some players to wear the green and red include current Mayo forward Alan Dillon, 2 time All-Star James Horan as well as Cora Staunton who has won the ultimate honours in her game at all grades .
However all these successes and developments come at great expense as the running costs of our club continue to increase, however the club are fortunate to have a very successful lotto in place since June 1996 and the support of the local footballing community has been immense . Draws take place every Sunday night with the details published here shortly afterwards.
